Olivia Maragna Aspire Retire Financial Advisor
Olivia has been ahead of the financial pack most of her life. She went from operating the family roadside fruit stall in country Queensland as a child to buying her first shares at 20.

Her first house followed at 22, and she successfully paid it off within five years.

A career in financial advice was a natural fit, and in 2003, she co-founded Aspire Retire Financial Services with her husband and business partner Stephen Degiovanni.

Never one to rest on her laurels, at the age of 28, Olivia became the youngest Australian to receive all three professional designations in her field: CA (Chartered Accountant Designation), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Self-Managed Super Fund Specialist Adviser certification.

In 2012, Olivia was named the Association of Financial Advisers Adviser of the Year. Not only was she the first woman to ever win the accolade, she was also the youngest in its 10-year history. In 2013, she won the Money Management/Super Review Inaugural Women in Financial Services Financial Planner of the Year.

Over the decades, Olivia has become a driving force in the finance industry. She has been named one of Australia’s top 10 financial influencers, sharing the list with the likes of David Koch, Ross Greenwood, Alan Kohler and Mark Bouris.

She currently serves as a judge for the Telstra Business Awards, is the finance columnist for Sydney Morning Herald/The Age and Brisbane Times, has a money segment on ABC radio and appears on Channel Nine’s Talking Money

Olivia speaks at events and organisation across the country and internationally, including Ernst and Young, SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia, AMP, Centrelink, AFL Association, Women in Technology, and Canegrowers.

She has been named in Australia’s Top 10 AFR/Boss Emerging Leaders. In recognition of her business achievements and community involvement, Olivia has been chosen as one of eighteen Australian inspiring female leaders in the Leadership in Focus Forum, recently representing Australia in a Global Forum in Switzerland.

Olivia’s awards and industry recognition have been instrumental in winning Aspire Retire referrals and new business over the last two decades.
